Bicyclists and hikers looking for long treks with rural vistas will love the 48-mile Ahnapee State Trail, which connects Sturgeon Bay, Forestville, and Southern Door. Forestville Dam Park offers hiking trails and a kayak launch that leads to the Ahnapee River. Southern Door is also home to the first ATV trails in Door County.
The area is also rich with Belgian heritage, so keep eyes peeled for historic roadside chapels.
