More Information
A Door County Tradition
The Tannenbaum Holiday Shop was established in 1978 in Door County. Since that time, the store has changed locations to accommodate a growing business. In 1992, the Tannenbaum Holiday Shop settled into our current location, an old Lutheran church (the church was built in 1879). While we have made a few updates, the store still maintains some of the original architect with the stain glass windows, the alter area (now housing the nativities, angels, and Thanksgiving items), and choir loft. There is also some of the original lighting in the front room and a church symbol.
The Tannenbaum Holiday Shop has not just changed physical space but also in diversity of merchandise. While we still have a plethora of Christmas ornaments, nativities, and decorations, we also have many gifts and collectibles for celebrations year round. In addition, we have made major updates to our Tannenbaum Holiday Shop Online store so you can find that special gift or holiday collectible year round from the comfort of your own home.
A Little About the Owners
In 2004, Ron and Sue Ann Flittner purchased the Tannenbaum Holiday Shop. Ron has an extensive background in management and Sue Ann had previously worked as a retail buyer. In addition to their own work experience, they both had a love for the holidays in particular Christmas. At the time, they were looking for a business opportunity in Door County (a place they had enjoyed visiting with their children). Since purchasing the business in 2004, Ron and Sue Ann have continued to learn about the holiday business and have worked on keeping up with the ever changing market.
